Our Story
Megan and Blair almost finished their 4 year programs at Brock University without ever meeting each other. When COVID-19 hit, Megan and her best friend Kait, decided to move from their 6 roommate house to a 3 roommate house across town. This house just happened to be across the road and 4 houses down from the house Blair and his roommates lived in. Very quickly, the two houses "bubbled" together and spent almost everyday together going on hikes, having bonfires, and throwing themed parties.
One night, Megan pulled Blair into the kitchen of his student house and confessed her feelings for him and luckily the feeling was mutual. From there, they started going on dates and very quickly fell in love. School ended and Blair moved back to Guelph while Megan moved back to Richmond Hill and then to Hamilton. They did long distance, seeing each other on weekends for about a year before Blair's parents very generously invited Megan to come live with them. After a year of living with Blair's parents and saving money, the couple moved out and continue to rent the main floor of Blair's parent's rental property.
In November of 2024, Blair planned a weekend trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Megan and Blair headed down and re-lived their favourite hike, went to a winery, got ready for dinner at their B&B, and then stopped at a favourite park of theirs, Queen's Royal Park before dinner. Blair suddenly got very quiet as the main park area was packed with people. He suggested they go for a walk along the water where he got down on one knee and said the most perfect things along with "Will you marry me?". With tears in both of their eyes (and a reminder from Blair to Megan that she actually had to say Yes or No), they were finally engaged!

Breakfast is included in your stay
There will be a shuttle to pick guests up at each hotel to bring them to the venue. The shuttle will then return three times throughout the night to take guests back to their hotels. Other travel options not organized by us may include Uber or a taxi.

Gifts
With all we have, we've been truly blessed. Your presence, laughter, and memories are all we can hope for. We have been living together for almost 3 years now and are lucky enough to have all the items we need right now. If you wish to give us a gift, a monetary gift will help us the most. Any monetary gifts will go towards a honeymoon and/ or a down payment on our first home bought together!
FAQs
What is the dress code?
We kindly request formal attire, black tie is optional. Our hope is for women to be in dresses that are below the knee and for men to be wearing a jacket for at least the ceremony. We know it may be too hot to wear a jacket the whole night.
Where are the ceremony and reception spaces located?
Both the ceremony and reception are on the same property located at Elle by Stella. In hopes of a sunny, warm day, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception will be held indoors.
Is there parking at the venue?
There is plenty of free parking available at the venue! You can leave your car overnight. We will have a shuttle service on the night of that will stop at each of the hotels we have listed.
Do we need to choose our meals before the day?
Yes! When you RSVP, you will select which meal you would like to enjoy at our wedding. You will also have an opportunity to inform us of any food allergies you may have.
Can I bring a date? Are kids welcomed?
Wedding invites were sent out with guests specifically named on the invitation. As much as we love your little ones, we have decided on an adult-only event. Hopefully this can be a fun date night away!
